Welcome to Cité du Temps

The Cité du TempsFrench for the City of Time – is nestled in the heart of Biel, the world's watchmaking capital.

This special place entirely dedicated to time unites under one roof the playful, cheerful style of the brand Swatch and the luxurious character of Omega offering its visitors an opportunity to explore two different worlds of watchmaking represented in two museums: Planet Swatch and Omega Museum.

The Cité du Temps operates under the leadership of The Swatch Group Ltd, the largest watchmaking company in the world which unites, among other companies, 16 watch brands: Breguet, Harry Winston, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Omega, Longines, Rado, Union Glashütte, Tissot, Balmain, Certina, Mido, Hamilton, Swatch, and Flik Flak.

Museums

The Cité du Temps serves as a unique meeting area for visitors and pedestrians. Independent museum spaces for Swatch and Omega, spread over two floors, are equipped with the latest interactive technologies. They offer their guests an opportunity to explore in a living manner the worlds of the two brands represented in two museums.

Group visits

To ensure the smooth organization of your visit, we kindly ask you to contact us by e-mail at least 72 hours prior to the requested date.

For groups and school classes with more than 10 participants, please contact us.

Requests for group visits are handled by our reservations team.

How to get here

To view the directions to the Cité du Temps, simply enter your location and find out how to reach us.

Various bus connections are available from Biel/Bienne train station. From there you can reach us by taking the bus services 2, 3, 4, or 72 and stop at the bus station OMEGA. There are limited blue zone parking spaces available around the museum, requiring a parking disc with a maximum stay of one hour.
